Definitely check this place out. Indoor seating available, kiosk to order just coffee (if you're not grabbing any food) - but why wouldn't you? Nice assortment of unique pastries. Always impressive if you need something to bring to a little birthday bash, housewarming, holiday, etc. I have found some of the savory food items to be a bit greasy. Grab a latte on the way out! Customer service could be a bit better during busy times. They did leave several items out of a larger order - didn't realize until I got to my destination and opened the boxes. Recommend checking your boxes before you leave!

FIRST OF ALL - LOVE THE FRENCH WORKSHOP!! Every time I come here it is busy - but there is space to sit? haha it is always full and filled with people enjoying their food and coffee. It is always clean, nicely lit, enough space from others, and the shelves are always fully stocked. Even on busy days I don't think I have ever been turned down of an item. I love, love, love their BLT and their iced coffee with sweet cold foam. one of my favorite go to spots!

What a delight. I used to frequent TFW in Bayside. I'm so glad one opened up closer to me so I can treat myself whenever. Hehe Between their Nutella bread, Nutella crossaint, madelines, pistachio muffins, macaroons, mini cookies by the bunch, and many more goodies. You'll just have to stop by for a treat yourself. This place is always busy whenever I stop by however their service is impeccable. Line moves pretty fast. It is huge in here. Located inside a shopping center in plainview. Ample amount of parking as well.

The melody cake is to die for. Whenever I bring it to an event I get so many people asking, "omg where is this chocolate cake from? ". We used to drive into queens for the TFW and so glad now we can swing by Plainview! The melody cake has layers of soft chocolate, decadent glaze and crispy wafer things. A lot of variable textures that really teases the senses. Big fan. Oh their coffee isn't bad also!

I love how The French Workshop serves your dessert on a silver platter. I feel like royalty walking back to my table! The open commercial kitchen shows they are sending out a professional product. This is the third French Workshop I've been to and this place is solid. We're out for the evening with my inlaws and they wanted to have coffee and dessert after dinner. Looking over our dessert choices are very pleasing. I understand the restaurant has to appeal to everyone with items like "The Oreo Bomb", its nice to know they also make sophisticated desserts like the Chocolate Noir I had the other night. The Chocolate Noir had a nice chocolate balance, not too sweet with cocoa powder topping but just enough to satisfy any sweet tooth craving. My wife does this new thing, we usually split a dessert to save on calories, now she has a "one bite" move. I wanted to order something with more crunch but the Chocolate Noir was a nice compromise. The baked goods at any French Workshop are great as well as the various sandwich offerings. These items might not be available later in evening. If you need a special birthday cake, consider The French Workshop!

The French Workshop has grown on me and into a full fledged 5 star bakery cafe stop off. Can't say its 3 stars anymore if I find myself coming here this often haha! Tiramisu, cookies, decadent cake, espresso, coffee, tea and a really nice bright and well lit shiny cafe with well spaced bistro tables. Perfect place to sit and enjoy a light but decadent cafe bite.
